Confirmed speakers at BRC2011
At BRC2011 a lot of interesting speakers will be giving talks about many different topics related to bariatric rehabilitation.

Let us introduce you to two exiting speakers:

Anita Vesterdorf
PT, Denmark

Anita Vesterdorf from Koncern HR, Fysisk Arbejdsmiljø (Physical Environment) in Central Denmark Region is trained PT from Physical Therapy School of Aarhus, Denmark. Working environment has been her focus for many years. Last year she finished the project 'Bariatrics – good patient procedures and the attractive workplace'. A product from one of the interventions in the project is ’Space requirement for obese patient’.
She has worked together with nurses making a guideline for receiving a grown up bariatric patient at a hospital in Central Denmark Region. Mrs. Vesterdorf has earlier written the book ’Grundbog i Arbejdsteknik for social- og sundhedshjælpere’ about patient handling and transfer.

Rianne Huijbregts
PT, Holland

Rianne graduated as a physiotherapist in 1987 and worked for many years with physically and mentally handicapped people. She specialized in transferring and lifting techniques.

In 2002 she founded Zwaartepunt, a training agency that is primarily focused on Guiding, Moving and Lifting in healthcare. In cooperation with the Dutch Obesity Association and a number of equipment manufacturers, Zwaartepunt is now known for its expertise in movement solutions for obese clients.
Besides the knowledge and skills of the physical techniques, Zwaartepunt maintains an intense focus on achieving the effective contact between client and caregiver in every course. Uniquely Zwaartepunt provides during every course real experience with Obese Actors from the Dutch Obesity Association. Rianne, along with 3 other consultants of Zwaartepunt, is active as a teacher, workshop leader and speaker at conferences, trade shows and in healthcare institutions.
